Q: What should I bring on the trip?
A: Check the weather on the Internet, for Puerto Plata D.R., to see what clothes to bring. It really depends on the time of the year.
Please be sure to bring all of the following, they may be useful for the four day trip:

Q: Do I need a passport?
A: Yes

Q: Should I bring my golf clubs?
A: You can if you choose, but we will arrange for rental clubs
Q: Will there be time for me to explore on my own or do I have to stay with
my group?
A: Yes, there will be time to do your own things, if you choose.
Q: What type of currency do they accept?
A: The national currency of the D.R. is the Dominican Peso (DOP).
Q: What will I need currency for?
A: If you choose to gamble or go out on your own to experience the
nightlife and culture in Santiago.
Q: Will I be able to bring cigars back, if so how many?
A: Yes, you are allowed to bring back 100 cigars as long as they are not
Cuban.

Q: Will I have internet access in the Estate?
A: Yes, although we will have a kiosk station with internet access for you to use
Q: Is there an age requirement?
A: Yes, 21 years of age or older.
Q: How many people attend each trip?
A: A minimum of 8 and a maximum of 10. We can accomodate a larger group of 32 with individual rooms and a private beach.
Q: Do I get my own room and where do we stay?
A: The cost of the trip is bases on double occupancy for each room. On some trips you may have your own room with no additional cost depending on what five different luxury estates in the D.R. You won't be disappointed!
Q: Does the cost of the trip include airfare?
A: No, but we can recommend what flight to take.
Q: What airlines fly to Puerto, Plata?
A: American Airlines is the only major airline that flies into the D.R.
They fly their through Miami. You can call our toll free number for flight
options to get to Miami.
Q: Do we get to keep the Marlin if we catch one?
A: Yes, we can arrange for that and give you a price to mount and ship it
home. Most of our trips are catch and release, or we keep a few fish to
eat for dinner at the house.

Q: Will my cell phone work in the D.R.?
A: It depends on your carrier. Please call your carrier before going on
this trip. You may incur out of country or roam charges.
Q: Should I bring food, alcohol or water?
A: You can bring your favorite snacks if you choose, but all the food and
drinks will be provided on this trip.
Q: What cigar factory do we visit on the trip?
A: It depends, we work with 5 different factories and you will be
told who we will visit prior to your trip. Regardless of factory, you
won't be disappointed! Factories include Cusano, Davidoff, Kristoff, Matasa, & La Aurora

Q: Is it safe in the Dominican Republic?
A: Yes, it is. We have been several times and have never felt threatened.
Dominican treat Americans very well and realize that tourist spending is
important to their local economy.
Q: How many cigars do we smoke there? A: As many as you want, we provide all the smokes for you at the house. There may be opportunities to buy rare cigars from the factories.
Q: What language do they speak in the D.R.?
A: It is predominantly Spanish, but we will be surrounded by people who
speak both Spanish and English.
